Hear author Gerdette Rooney, self-confessed woman nomad, discuss her book Womadic Wanders. Gerdette has travelled the world solo with her rucksack, camera and hiking boots – this book chronicles her amazing journey.
Her stories will transplant you to the far corners of our amazing planet: the lush rainforest of Rwanda, the undulating dunes of the Sahara Desert and the arid wastes of the Silk Road. Many are set in Africa, her favourite continent.
