Devils at Work

Devils at Work

I am a foreigner to you and to this world.
These are my personal observations.
Read, but do not label me or my text.

Since birth,
I heard only praise for virtue.
Doing Good and being good.
About Jesus and his holy sacrifice.
I heard how Germans were evil
And how the chosen ones saved the world.

But my own eyes saw this:
Those saviour angels never ceased
Bullying and bombing,
So many mothers mourning
A school in Minab, never too far away.

People became millionaires off a “.com” domain.
Financial systems only deceived.
Corporations enslave humanity.
Forex conjured money from nothing,
As did the stock market.

Crypto and mainstream media,
News and now social media,
Peddle lies to destroy
What little good remains.
Millions of viruses emerge,
Tons of useless meds appear,
And health insurance leads you to heaven.

And these days,
I witness how Pedro Sánchez,
Doing well for his nation,
Made Spain heard and seen.
He stood tall against monsters
And refused to submit,
While France, Germany and others only comply.
Now his own good is weaponised by devils:
“To divide and rule.”

The smoke of their fires
In Iran and Gaza
Still hangs heavy,
Yet another blazes ahead.
Who takes the blame next?

Just as they historically
Forced Gibraltar down Spain’s throat.
And I wonder… what if?
What if all told of good
Was just a manifesto for modern slavery?
Written by those who crucified Jesus,
Killed him savagely, brutally,
And called it Faith in an unseen God,
Invented by Moses?

If I cannot name
One good thing in this world,
Then Good must be a lie.

Through the window,
Two turtle doves, inseparable.
Expecting their young,
One warms the eggs,
One seeks food.
Once the fledglings fly,
They comfort each other.

Then I remember my mother,
And her pure love,
Nurturing me, even now,
In sickness and in health.
However naughty I was,
A flush on my cheek
Kept her restless until I settled.

Looking up,
I saw the full moon,
Never failing to visit
And share her beauty
When she was due.

I know the devils work,
To make us forget
The power of life in hand;
And good might be forged,
But a  droplet wets,
And fire burns.
Yet ultimate love,
Earth, moon, and sun,
Pure existence,
Uninvented God,
Will make us thrive.

Y me pregunto…

Si no puedo nombrar
Una sola cosa buena en este mundo,
Entonces el Bien debe ser una mentira.

A través de la ventana,
Dos tórtolas, inseparables.
Esperando a sus crías,
Una calienta los huevos,
La otra busca alimento.
Cuando los polluelos vuelan,
Se consuelan mutuamente.

Entonces recuerdo a mi madre,
Y su amor puro,
Cuidándome, incluso ahora,
En la salud y en la enfermedad.
Por muy travieso que fuera,
Un rubor en mi mejilla
La mantenía inquieta hasta que me calmaba.

Mirando hacia arriba,
Vi la luna llena,
Que nunca falla en visitarme
Y compartir su belleza
Cuando le toca.

Sé que los diablos trabajan,
Para hacernos olvidar
El poder de la vida en nuestras manos;
Y el bien puede ser forjado,
Pero una gota moja,
Y el fuego quema.
Sin embargo, el amor supremo,
La tierra, la luna y el sol,
La pura existencia,
Dios no inventado,
Nos hará prosperar.
